Broccoli salad is incredibly delicious and incredibly easy to make. It has to be made a few hours in advance, so it is not like other salads that have to assembled just as the guests arrive.
I can eat large quantities of this salad and even eat it as a main dish
The salad can be varied, among other things with different nuts or kernels, raisins, cranberries or other.
1 TBSP. LEMON JUICE
1 LARGE RED ONION
2 HANDFULS OF DRIED CRANBERRIES
50 G ALMOND SLIVERS
2 TBSP. FRAICHE 5%,
2,5 TSBP. MAYONNAISE
1,5 TBSP. APPLECIDER VINEGAR
1 TSP. SALT
1 TBSP. SUGAR
175 G BACON, COOKED
Peel the onions and chop them finely.
Wash the broccoli and apples, remove the broccoli leaves and the apple cores.
Cut the broccoli into smaller bouquets.
Cut the apples into cubes and mix them with the lemon juice to keep them from browning.
Mix the fraiche with mayonnaise, applecider vinegar, salt and sugar, add extra to taste until the dressing has a tangy, salty and sweet balance.
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and allow the salad to chill for at least 3 hours.
Crumble the cooked, crispy bacon into smaller pieces over the salad before serving.
