Oh, a cup of hot chocolate, it’s pure comfort. Just be careful that you don’t burn your tongue trying to drink it all in one go. Now, this recipe doesn’t actually use chocolate per say, but dark cocoa powder, but it’s easy and quick to make, especially as the ingredients are usually found in your cupboards.
HOT CHOCOLATE
1 SERVING
1 TBSP. DARK COCOA POWDER
2 TSP. SUGAR
1 CUP MILK
A LITTLE WATER
WHIPPED CREAM TO SERVE
Mix cocoa powder and sugar together with a little water to make a smooth paste in a pot.
Add the milk and stir, while heating the mixture, until all cocoa and sugar have dissolved. Keep stirring to stop the milk from burning, as the drink is brought to a boil.
Remove the pot from the heat and let hot chocolate cool slightly.
Pour into your chosen cup, the same that you used to measure your milk, and decorated with whipped cream.
