Homemade “Baileys”

Homemade Baileys is actually very easy. It doesn’t even take more than a few minutes to mix together and all you need is a handheld whisk and a bowl. What is good about making your own? You get to decide how much alcohol is going into the drink.
I am not a big fan of alcohol, but this recipe is just right for me.

HOMEMADE “BAILEYS”
CA. 750 ML

1 TSP COCOA POWDER
250 ML HEAVY CREAM 38%
1 CAN (395ML) CONDENSED MILK
½ TSP. PURE VANILLA EXTRACT
150 ML. GOOD WHISKY

Mix cocoa powder with a little cream to a paste in a bowl with a handheld whisk.

Add the rest of the cream, a little at a time, while whisking calmly, to keep lumps from forming in your finished drink.

When all the cream has been added, whisk in the condensed milk the same way.

Finally stir in the vanilla extract and the whisky.

You can now add more whisky to your specific taste, if you want.

Pour the finished “Baileys” into sterilised bottles and keep them in the fridge.

Homemade “Baileys” keep for up to two-three months in the fridge, if it lasts that long.
